About Rob

Rob grew up in New York and started music as a teenager, playing lead guitar in a rock band. After high school he switched to piano and started playing in churches. He became interested in jazz after coming to Texas, later attending Houston Community College and earning a degree in Jazz Studies. While working as a law enforcement officer for 30 years, Rob performed in solo and group settings playing jazz, rock, Motown, and pop music throughout the Houston area.

Since his retirement, Rob has continued composing, performing, and releasing music. Rob continues to play throughout Houston and the surrounding areas, at weddings and corporate events. He often plays solo piano at various Perry’s Steak House restaurants, and with the Jazz Dish group.
